Lifeguard Team Leader

Hamilton Pools are looking for a Team Leader to join them. In this position, you will be responsible for the delivery of day-to-day operational activities ensuring the safe supervision of customers, the facility, water quality and customer service are all kept to a high standard.

As a Lifeguard Team Leader, no two days are the same! Some of the duties you will be involved in are:

  • supervising Lifeguards and the reception team to ensure customer and staff safety, and operational efficiency 
  • ensuring pool water testing and compliance with the New Zealand standards
  • carrying out plant checks in line with the facility inspection procedures
  • assisting with staff training and development
  • looking for opportunities to improve systems, processes and work practices

Our ideal candidate will be a great leader with the ability to empower and motivate staff and create a positive team environment. You will have strong and effective communication skills, flexibility to run a seven day a week operation, and the ability to adapt to a constantly changing business. Experience or knowledge of water treatment would also be an advantage.

This a fixed term role covering parental leave, ending in May 2020, however across our sites there are potential career development opportunities for the right candidate. The recruiting range for this role will be approximately $23.00 - $24.00 and will be discussed with the successful candidate.
