Due to the rapid growth of our city, Hamilton City Council is looking for a new Intermediate Policy Planner who wants to be part of a team committed to building on the lifestyle and economy we already have, and maximise all opportunities to redefine Hamilton as one of New Zealand’s leading metropolitan cities.

As one of our Policy Planners you will be responsible for helping implement the raft of national policy changes as part of the governments urban growth agenda, you will be working on the metropolitan spatial plan, providing strategic policy advice on the District Plan and working on a range of plan change projects within the wider unit and organisation.

You will have a Bachelor in Planning or Resource Management, or equivalent tertiary qualification and ideally at least three years’ experience in planning and resource management application for the Intermediate role.
