HR Business Partner
Hamilton City Council’s People Safety and Wellness Unit has an opportunity for an influential and experienced HR Business Partner to join the team.
Reporting to the HR Business Support Lead, you will join an experienced and well-respected team of HR professionals who partner with the Council’s wide range of business units to provide effective advice and support.
Your HR experience will enable you to effectively contribute in the development and implementation of strategic and operational people initiatives and ensure alignment to the Council’s strategies.
We are looking for someone who is customer-focussed, collaborative and enjoys getting things done, while at the same time adding value to the managers you partner with. Your HR philosophy will be complemented by your ability to operate in a political environment, and manage complex HR and people-related tasks.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor-level qualification in human resources, business management, organisational psychology or equivalent
- Three or more years of experience in a similar HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor position
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of employment-related and Health and Safety legislation
- Exceptional people skills, with the ability to partner, coach and advise managers
- Resilience, with a sense of humour.
