Field Technician

Our City Waters team is seeking a Field Technician who will be responsible for providing Sampling & Analysis services covering the partner Councils for Waikato District, Waipa District and Hamilton City.

As a Field Technician, you will collect samples from across the sub region; undertake physical and chemical field testing to ensure compliance with Resource Consents and Drinking Waters Standards; perform equipment calibration and maintenance; and assist with laboratory activities as required. 

You will have the opportunity to participate in the development of standard operating procedures and make recommendations for improvement, while ensuring IANZ accreditation is maintained for the Council Laboratory. 

You will have at least 1 years’ experience in sampling and testing procedures and have the ability to undertake calibrations and maintenance of sampling and field testing equipment. Your flexibility, time management skills and ability to meet deadlines and work the occasional weekend or public holiday will help you be successful in this role.

The recruiting range for this role starts at $42,000 per annum and could be negotiated for the right candidate.
