Community Asset Information Coordinator


Planning for the future of our city and meeting the needs of our diverse communities are integral to Hamilton City Council’s role in one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing urban areas.

To manage that growth, and look after what we already have, the Council’s Community Group is recruiting a new Asset Information Co-ordinator.

Reporting to our Strategic Asset Specialist, this role is crucial to the management of the wide array of parks and recreation assets we have, and will also see you providing support to other parts of our group including Waikato Museum, Hamilton Zoo, Hamilton City Libraries, Hamilton Gardens and Hamilton Pools.

This is a data-focussed position: you’ll need to be able to able to demonstrate experience in managing asset data and the systems and methods to retain and report that information. An important aspect of this position will be providing asset information to our managers and team leaders, who will rely on you for advice and input in their planning for our city and communities.

In recent years the Council has placed a growing emphasis on management of its assets, and this role is fundamental to that: you’ll represent the unit in organisational asset planning processes and collaborate with staff from various groups of our large business. We’re constantly striving to improve and refine our asset management process, and this role will be influential in achieving that goal.

The recruiting range for this role is from $66,700 per annum and will negotiated with the successful candidate.
