The Role:

Hamilton City Council has a great opportunity for a experienced Communication & Engagement Advisor for a two year fixed-term period. This position has a strong Transportation focus within the Great River City team, working on a wide remit of projects. No two days are the same, so if you enjoy a dynamic environment this could be the role for you. 

You will design, plan, develop, deliver and evaluate a range of communication and engagement activities in the city, ensuring the integrity and reputation of the Council is at the forefront of everything you do. 


The Person:

We are looking for an individual who is creative, credible and will bring innovative ideas to the table. The role needs someone who is passionate, confident in their ability, has strong writing and community engagement experience - and can focus on turning opportunities into tangible outcomes.

This role is suited for someone with substantive previous experience who is looking to make a change in their career. Ideally, you will have had 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, involving a combination of internal, external and digital communications. 

The recruiting range for this role starts at $76,000 per annum and could be negotiated for the right candidate.
