Collection Management Librarian


Are you passionate about libraries, reading, learning and new technologies?

Help influence the development of Hamilton City Libraries’ lending collection, identify emerging collections for consideration, build specialist knowledge and support Readers Advisory. 

As our Collection Management Librarian, you’ll be a vital part of the Hamilton City Libraries team, responsible for creating lending collections responding to the reading tastes of our community. 

This is an exciting opportunity to advance your library knowledge and skills. 

In addition to your great communication skills, you’ll have effective time management, attention to detail, enthusiasm and a willingness to be flexible to work in with the team and customers. 

You will also need to be digitally literate and familiar with using databases and search tools to logically gather, organise and analyse information quickly.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.
