Hamilton City Libraries has two part-time positions of 13.5 hours/week working Monday to Sunday, available at Central Library.
Hamilton’s libraries are now providing a range of services and activities that go far beyond simply lending books. They’re a place for communities to gather, share information, work together and read recreationally, as well as participate in the wider online world.
As the Circulation Assistant, you’ll work with a variety of people from all walks of life. On any given day you might assist a customer with navigating the internet or using a device, preparing and participating in a sessions for small children, or help a customer choose their next favourite book.
You’ll be someone who enjoys diversity, is an excellent communicator, possess strong technology skills, enjoys working with children, and someone who genuinely cares about providing exceptional customer service.
Ideally, you’ll have recent customer service experience, and be confident thinking on your feet and responding in a professional way at all times.
