Business Partner – Organisational Development


Our organisation is going through a period of exciting change, and we need a proven Organisational Development professional to help us reshape how we work.

This is a new role within Hamilton City Council’s People, Safety and Wellness team.  Working with the Organisational Development Lead, you will play a key part in continuing our development as a high-performance organisation which meets the needs of our growing city.

Our Chief Executive and his executive management team have embraced a programme of change that is being embedded across our organisation – and this role is vital to supporting the transformation they’re leading.

You’ll work in partnership with key stakeholders across the Council to design, develop and implement frameworks and programmes to build capability and enhance our culture.  We need a skilled and technically savvy operator who can research the organisational development strategies at hand, and implement them in the most effective way. Employee engagement will be an important part of this job, and you’ll be responsible for leveraging technology to easily collect, understand and act on the feedback of our people. 

Working closely with our unit managers and team leaders, you’ll be paying close attention to our leadership and management development.  You will work with the OD Lead to enhance and deliver leadership programmes and initiatives to get the best out of our people. 

We need a proactive, responsive and forward thinking “people person” who will take pride in helping us be the best we can be.
